PRESENTATION
Welcome everyone! Today, I’m introducing a dish that blends Mediterranean culinary tradition with the modernity of cooking technology: Roasted Octopus in the Air Fryer.
Roasted octopus is a seafood delight, cherished for its tender meat and intense flavor. Traditionally, cooking octopus requires time and careful attention, but with the air fryer, we can achieve a perfect result more quickly and healthily. The air fryer allows for even cooking, with an irresistible crispy exterior and a soft, juicy interior, while minimizing the use of oil.
INGREDIENTS
- FOR ABOUT 2 PEOPLE
- 1 octopus, about 1 kg, cleaned
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil (about 30 ml)
- 1 organic lemon, juiced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Fresh chopped parsley
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Sweet or hot paprika
PREPARATION
- Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (392°F).
- In a bowl, mix the extra virgin olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Immerse the octopus in the prepared marinade, making sure it’s evenly coated. Let it rest for at least 30 minutes, or overnight in the refrigerator for a more intense flavor.
- Place the octopus in the air fryer basket, trying not to overlap the tentacles.
- Cook for about 15-20 minutes, turning the octopus halfway through, until it’s golden and crispy on the outside.
- Serve the octopus hot, drizzled with the remaining lemon juice and a little raw olive oil. Garnish with additional chopped parsley and, if desired, some lemon slices.
